We learn methods taught to us by masters from the history of art. By mirroring their techniques we practice key principles of art: line, shape, pattern, composition, color, dimension, organization, structure and form.
We focus primarily on how we create, enjoying our immersion in the process. This immersion in the process is where we use the Right Brain to do our artwork, which is the non-verbal, spacial area of our brain. Using the Right Brain is a skill that children (and adults) can greatly benefit from for all areas of life. Lastly, we learn to be open to artwork of all kinds and to see the world around us not as what we know but as something yet to be explored!
