1. OIS Board Open Parent Meeting (Note: change in meeting time)

The OIS Board will hold its second open parent meeting this year on Tuesday, 9 March from 17.30-19.30 in the OIS lobby.  This meeting is an opportunity for parents to receive an update on the 2009 financial results, 2010 budget, the gym project, and other board goals as well as inquire about the work of the board and improvement plans for the school.

 

2. First Friday with Tom

First Friday with Tom will be on 12 March, from 9:15 to 10:15 in the OIS lobby. This meeting is an opportunity for the Director to meet with parents to better understand their views about the school. We will discuss ideas, issues, and/or concerns that parents wish to discuss that they feel may be of interest to other OIS parents.

 

3. IB Program Review

To the parents of IB1 or IB2 students:

Every five years the International Baccalaureate Organisation asks schools to evaluate the implementation of their programmes. The administration and staff at OIS have completed their self study for this and now the findings are to be reviewed by a committee of parents, teachers, administrators and board members. This review committee will meet on Monday March 15th and any parents who may be interested to take part are asked to contact Peter Luitjens (peter.luitjens@oslois.no) on or before Friday March 5th. The report will then be e-mailed out with instructions on Monday March 8th. Thanking any volunteers in advance.
