School Fees

OIS charges a 5,000 NOK non-refundable application fee for the processing and review of a student application. This is per student and does not carry forward to any future applications.

New students to Year 1 or above will be invoiced a non-refundable 25.000 NOK new student registration fee.

If a student joins at the Pre-School level, this registration fee will be invoiced and due when they re-enrol for Year 1. 

Newly enrolled students will be invoiced a 10,000 NOK enrolment fee after accepting a place at OIS. The enrolment fee is payable by the date stipulated on the invoice and is applied to the annual tuition fees. This fee is non-refundable.

Re-enrolling students will receive their (Re)Enrolment fee invoice for payment due 15 March.  This payment is applied toward their tuition fees for the upcoming school year. This fee is non-refundable.

OIS is proud to offer a variety of after-school activities including sports, music, activities in science, art, cooking, and clubs. Once you become a member of the OIS community, you will be granted access to our Community Portal, where you can find out about the range of activities on offer.

Activities typically run for about 11 weeks per season.  Fees for the different activities vary, but start from 750 NOK per activity, per season, and increase from there. 

Our primary mission is to serve the children of foreign nationals who are temporarily living and working in Norway (Category 1) and internationally minded families already living in Norway (Category 2). It is only after OIS has both re-enrolled and accepted new Category 1-2 families, that we may choose to offer any reduced tuition places which we define as Category 3 applicants in the OIS Admissions Policy. 

Because OIS is an independent not-for-profit school that does not receive Norwegian government funding, an education at OIS is funded 100% by school fees.

As school fees paid by reduced rate Category 3 families do not cover the costs of educating a student at OIS, new admissions of students in Category 3 are strictly limited. It is important to note that there are instances when no reduced rate places are available.

Category 3 applicants apply just as any other category; however, they have a deadline for completion of no later than 1 March to be considered for August enrolment (mid-year enrolments will not be considered). Category 3 applicant families should be aware that decisions on their applications will not be given until 1 June or the closest business day after June 1.

Currently enrolled students are not eligible to move to this category.
