Update on Head of School Search

Dear Oslo International School Community,

I am pleased to share with you the latest developments in our search for the next Head of School at Oslo International School.

As you may recall from previous communications, we were highly impressed and energised by the response from applicants, which brought over 80 candidates of diverse global backgrounds to our attention. In the recently completed shortlist interview stage, the search committee engaged with seven exceptional leaders from this impressive pool. Their depth of experience and perspectives have been truly inspiring, demonstrating the strong worldwide interest in leading our school.

From these candidates, we selected four outstanding educational leaders to enter the finalist stage. They will be traveling to Oslo from across the world and will visit OIS at the end of next week. During their visit, finalists will meet with the Board of Trustees, a student panel, members of staff, school leaders, and a parent panel consisting of members of the OIS Parents’ Association leadership and the Parents’ Working Council.

This is an exciting time for OIS as we anticipate welcoming these candidates to OIS. It’s an opportunity for them to experience the vibrant community spirit that defines us, and their interactions with our community will play a key role in the decision-making process.

The appointment of a head of school is one of the most critical processes entrusted to an independent international school’s Board of Trustees.
