Student Council & Clubs
Student voice and leadership
Students are encouraged to take an active role in shaping life at OIS. Through the Student Council and a wide range of student-led clubs, they develop leadership skills, contribute new ideas and work together to make a positive difference within the school and beyond.
Student Council
The Student Council represents the voice of our students across Primary, Lower Secondary and Upper Secondary. Elected representatives work closely with teachers and school leadership to share ideas, raise concerns and help enhance student life at OIS.
The Council plays an important role in building an inclusive and supportive school community. Students organise social events, lead fundraising initiatives and contribute to projects that strengthen school spirit while supporting local and global causes.
Two Student Council representatives from each school division serve on the school's Cooperation Council, working alongside parents, staff and school leadership to help strengthen the learning environment and school community.
Student-Led Clubs
Students are also encouraged to lead clubs that reflect their interests, passions and values. These groups provide opportunities to collaborate with like-minded peers, develop leadership skills and make a meaningful contribution to the school community.
From Amnesty International and The Science Club to LGBTQ+ and other student-led initiatives, clubs encourage students to raise awareness, advocate for important causes and organise events, campaigns and volunteer opportunities. Together, they help foster a culture of inclusion, respect and active citizenship.
